The Best Design Practices for Political Stickers

Stick to a simple message. 

Stickers are meant to be read in one glance. Keep your political message short and focused on a call to action. Your candidate’s name should stand out but be sure to include the position they’re running for. 

Apply a maximum of three colors. 

People tend to look away from a busy, multi-colored design. Use the basic colors of the American flag for consistency. You can also mix it up with other hues that match your candidate but try not to go beyond three colors.  

Choose a coating that will complement your candidate’s branding. 

Gloss or high–gloss works best on bold and vibrant designs. They come with a shine that stands out even from afar. 

Matte has a chic, muted finish that is perfect for advocacies or campaigns with a more traditional approach. Recommended for designs that use light colors or are heavy with text. 

Use a recognizable design. If you plan on using campaign stickers to support your organization, make sure that your logo is easy to spot and recognize by the viewer.
